Heres my messy desk with what i’ve been up to lately on it! I’ve had a few days off work this week and ive spent my time working on custom orders, painting, going mental over the new Paramore album (Hayley Williams is my latest all-consuming celebrity crush) and working on my own projects – Lots of messing around with polymer clay and experimenting with using glass eyes. I was unsure if they eyes would expand when i cooked them so this was a test, to see what happened. I tried this in the past with plastic eyes but they slightly melted and lost their shape, ew! I didnt think i’d use this face but i’ve ended up really liking him! I’ll finish him off next week. I’ve been experimenting with making polymer clay jewellery but i’ll share pictures when they’re a bit more finished.

Phew i cant believe its nearly the end of August already, this year is going so fast! It’s been a weird few months in Holly-land, but I’ve been having the
awesomest summer, which i guess reflects my total neglect of blog entries lately
So as you may have noticed that alittlestranger.com has been a leetle quiet lately, ive been super busy with ‘proper’ work and had less time to focus on my personal projects.
Due to the nature of my day job i dont often get to share pictures of what i’ve been up to, but i wanted to share this with you
Project blankie took a bit of a backseat last week while i moved house, but i have finally had a minute to upload all the pictures of week 4! I got some lovely squares in the post, all the way from Australia, from Lauren who i met on Flickr, thanks Lauren!
I’ll get a picture soon of all the squares together – im really interested to see how they all look, laid out! they’re stacked up on my bookcase right now and all the colours look lovely.

I’ve just added a new full size plush to my etsy shop, a not-so-scary zombie
She is for sale here Edit: sorry she is now sold
She has weighted feet and a weighted bottom and free moving teddy bear joints in her shoulders and hips so she can sit and stand unassisted. Her head is sewn on but still has enough movement to allow you to pose her easily.
Thought i’d share some picture of what the faces for my toys look like unpainted, just resin straight out of the mould. I always find it interesting to see other people’s work spaces so i wanted to share some pictures of mine.
Been working my way through some custom orders in my free time. Once they’re all finished up i have lots of ideas for new toys i want to make.
Yay! Thanks so much to everyone who voted for me, I made it through to the finalists!
I will resume normal blogging next week, i have been working on some exciting secret projects this wee, and some new alittlestranger toys! Have a great weekend!
I’m really excited about being part of Clutter Magazines Yoka competition, if my design wins it might get made into a real-life vinyl toy!! If you like my design, please vote for me Edit: voting has now closed, thank you so much i you voted for me
‘Voting will last one week and the 3 designs with the most votes will go through to the final and stay in with a chance of having their design brought to life as part of an adFunture Yoka Series.’
