Look what arrived in the post last week! This is Mela , who was a trade with my new friend Paul who runs Stitches and Glue. She is gorgeous, super soft, well made and came so thoughtfully packaged. Everyone should run over there and buy one right now!!

“This friendly yeti is a one-off art toy. She’s around 12″ tall (not including her ears) Her face is an original sculpt by Holly Stanway (thats me in the last picture, to give you an idea of the size!) which I then handcast in resin, painted and sealed with 3 layers of matte lacquer and 5 layers of gloss on her eyes and lips. She has weighted feet so she can stand unassisted and individually weighted claws that move and dangle nicely when you pick her up. Her footpads are made of super soft orange velvet.” Edit: sorry, she is now sold

I have been trying to take nice pictures of my two new plushes, this pink bear and another yeti. I will have another go later on.
I was so touched to find this awesome drawing waiting for me on my desk at work, my friends little girl drew it! Here it is proudly displayed on my fridge!!
I custom made two plushes for her birthday present earlier in the year, her dad got her to draw creatures that would keep the monsters away and i made them into toys, you can see them after the jump
Last week i sent off this grey skull yeti to go and live with the super talented Paul who runs stitches and glue. This is Pauls picture of him with his own monster Ohdo at his new house.
I am so excited about receiving one of his monsters, as soon as i saw them i know one would fit right in at castle Holly.
My camera died at the weekend so I’m off to hopefully get it fixed tomorrow. I’m working on some new plushes and i want to post pictures later this week!

I didnt know what to expect when i sent her off but with hindsight i wish i’ve made her in brighter colours, her orange eyes stand out when she is the only thing you’re looking at but i think shes a bit blend in against all the other cute toys.
